At the same time, the filler and bitumen are also weighed. Hot aggregate and fillers are then added into the mixing apparatus, and sprayed with hot bitumen of the desired quantity. Mixing is done in drums with paddles for about half a minute or less, and then the asphalt concrete is discharge into waiting trucks. In the case of continuous plants, use is made of heated asphalt storage silos, which then discharge the asphalt concrete into trucks.
